Furnished with the deluxe, dynamic and warm tone of a fully solid mahogany build, the Ibanez AAM740E Platinum Collection Advanced Acoustic has been designed from scratch to ensure unprecedented sound and playability. A solid African mahogany soundboard, solid African mahogany back and solid African mahogany sides complete the auditorium body, which has even been finished with a set-in African mahogany neck. The body of this Platinum Collection offering also features an A.I.R. port positioned on the upper shoulder so that, whether you're playing this flat top on stage or on the sofa, the natural acoustic sound is projected upwards, essentially serving as its own monitor.

The Ibanez AAM740E: Inspired Playability & World-Beating Sound

The neck has been given a Low Oval profile to support a solid grip on chords and notes, while the 15.75 inch radius of the Macassar ebony fretboard and shorter 25 inch scale length lighten the string tension, translating into a smooth and near-effortless feel beneath the fingers. The mahogany neck has also been thermo-aged, meaning that the wood has been lightly heated to remove excess moisture and boost stability. The amplified sound of the AAM740E, meanwhile, is taken care of by a T-bar Undersaddle pickup coupled with a contact piezo which, combined with the Custom Electronics preamp and fitted stereo and mono jack output, guarantees an unprecedented level of versatility when it comes to live sound.
